Lesson 2 - It-s About Time
Lesson Summary
Welcome to lesson two. In this lesson, we will explore new ways to find your photos by time and date.
- The traditional method of finding photos uses time as a reference point, usually through a chronological list in a camera roll format.
- The new layout offers a library view with enhanced features to streamline searching.
The library view allows you to:
- Access the default opening view showing years, months, and an "all view".
- Utilize controls such as sorting options and filters within the library view.
- Click on double arrows to modify the library view and access settings.
Additional features include:
- Sorting options by date captured or recently added to locate images more efficiently.
- Filter option for selecting specific types of photos/videos like favorites or videos.
- Recent days section below the library (iOS 18) to quickly access images taken on specific days. In iOS 26, Recent Days appears on the Collections page.
Furthermore, a hidden section in utilities unveils additional time-based features like recently viewed, edited, shared, and saved photos which can be handy for time-based searching.
